‘Most Songs We Have Today Are Meaningless, Just Noise’ – Donsun Spits Fire

Nigerian singer, Donsun, known for his serenading voice and amazing lyrical context advises his fellow musicians to up their games by putting out quality songs that will impact lives.
The versatile singer who conveniently dazzles on different genre of music, from hiphop to RnB, to dancehall and rap genres, made this bold statement ahead of the release of his new single, dubbed ‘Ma Chere’.
While speaking about what makes him different from other artistes in the music industry, Donsun clearly stated that he’s an artiste who’s proud of his contents, “I’m after quality,” he said, adding that “most of the songs we have in the music industry today are noise, artistes are hiding under the umbrella of circular music, they need to improve.”

Donsun didn’t stop there, he stated further that “good music should be meaningful, impactful and have the ability to stand the test of time. How many Nigerian songs have these qualities? Very few!”
Speaking about his soon-to-be-released single, Donsun boasted that, the song is a love song that’s totally different from other love songs we have in Nigeria. “Ma Chere is a feel-good love tune produced by R2k. The song is a mixture of different genres and I’m sure my fans will love it because it’s unique.”
Donsun, real name Isaac Samson Ono is a graduate of Computer Science who gets music inspirations from listening to other artistes, reading books and environmental factors. Donsun isn’t a newbie in the music industry, he started music over a decade ago and has shared the stage with different A-list artistes.
