10 minutes with Solid Star by Edward Fortune..
*Baby you too good for me, I no think say I be the right person for you baby, you need a man wey go dey there for you, wey go give you all the company you need baby…I just want the best for you girl OMOTENA I no fit give you all the time you deserve, because I be Waka waka….everyday go be working day, when. You need me around I would be far away, baby me I no settle because for my job no holiday… Listening to these words, the only thing that cross my mind is the truthful side of a *celeb*, the part of that superstar or that hustling fellow that just doesn’t want to waste the precious and rare emotions of that tender hearted lady who is so madly in love with him…..What more can be so sweet and mind settling if not being told that the relationship cannot work due to *very busy schedule* (but shebi dem say… No matter how busy d person is, he or she would create time for you?…eyes rolling)… Rather than making one go through all the stress of #why didn’t you pick my calls, why dint you call me, why dis, who’s that and all sort of questions that leads to…….*clears throat*…. Anywaiz, the very first time I heard this song (yes there’s always a first tyme) I was marveled at not just the delivery, but the lyrics.. For the very first time, we had a Nigerian artist do a song about their very busy life and how they really appreciate that person that would give their all just to be with them (not for fame or money oooo) yet regret the fact that they just have to let them go all thanks to their very busy schedule and wouldn’t want to fool them… (Don’t mess with their feelings if you know you not going to be real with them.) That’s basically the moral of the song…his first emergence into the industry was with a collaboration he did with Nigeria living legend 2face Idibia in a song titled *One in a million*… He’s shunned out more hits like #Confused, Omotena, Skibo, Oluchi, Twerk, to mention a few. He’s an isoko boy by birth and his space in the industry, cannot be taken… I had a chat with SolidStar for 10 minutes and he let me into his *Glorious and gracious world…
